Ponce Health Sciences University
Design a modern, accessible, and user-friendly digital experience that reflects the institution’s academic excellence and supports the needs of students, faculty, and prospective applicants.
Overview
I collaborated with Cross.Team to redesign the website for Ponce Health Sciences University, a private medical and health sciences institution located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. As the Product Designer, I led the design efforts by organizing and facilitating design sprints, coordinating closely with software developers, and engaging directly with university faculty and stakeholders.
Goal
Create a modern, accessible, and user-friendly digital experience that reflects the institution’s academic excellence and supports the needs of students, faculty, and prospective applicants.
Information Architecture
We conducted a comprehensive content analysis by combining qualitative research of existing materials with insights from stakeholder wishlists and future goals.
By examining industry best practices and gathering user opinions, we uncovered the deeper motivations, needs, and expectations that shaped our strategic direction.
Whiteboard Brainstorming
As a team group collaboration, used this activity to share and develop ideas around a central challenge or objective. By using a whiteboard everyone contributes thoughts freely by writing, drawing, or mapping out ideas in real time.

Low-Fidelity Sketches
In our design process, we begin with low-fidelity sketches to quickly explore and communicate ideas. This approach allows us to visualize concepts early on, test them with users through paper prototyping, and identify what works—without a heavy investment of time or resources. It also encourages creativity, making it easy to generate and evaluate a wide range of possibilities in a collaborative, low-pressure environment.
High-Fidelity Wireframes
We create high-fidelity wireframes to bring clarity, precision, and realism to our design concepts.
This level of detail allows us to align more effectively with stakeholders, developers, and clients by providing a tangible representation of the user interface, ultimately helping to bridge the gap between design and implementation.
